2 turn the switch on the bottom of the solar panel to ON1(or ON2)
position and leave it .the unit handles the rest it turns the sun jar off during the day while recharging the batteries.and lights up automatically when it gets dark
3 turn the witch on the bottom of the solar panel to ON1 position
the sun jar will throw out a blue light.turn the seitch to ON2 psoition the sun jar will throw out a yellow light
