A modern city has been set up in what was a wasteland ten years ago.这句话我有好多疑问不解
第一,what引导的宾语从句,我觉得怎么不可以在哪里建立的呢?怎么区分宾语和状语?我把what引导的句子拿去也通顺啊,一座现代城市被建立,怎么就不可以说是确定set up的状语呢?
第二,都说宾语从句用陈述语序这里怎么不是?what was a wasteland.

1what= the thing (that...)

2.what=the person.(that.)
