divide是把一个整体分成若干分（当然两分也是）；separate是原来在一起分开.
但是前者是侧重于“一个连起来的整体”,后者是“一个整体”.举个例子,把蛋糕分成四片：We divide the cake into four pieces.
我俩在山里分开了：we sepead in the hill.
