worth of 是价值多少的意思,不是应该说是with diamonds worth of thousands of pounds?

楼主的问题,是词组混淆.worth of并不是表示值得的词组,worthy of才是.按楼主意思,改成with diamonds worthy of thousands of pounds,我想是可以的.那么原文怎么会有worth of呢?其实worth在这里是名词,而不是形容词.o...那读起来是不是在worth后面停顿一下？可of diamonds是什么意思？
